Williams Sonoma Chocolate Chip Pancake & Waffle Mix
Tasting Notes: Aromatic vanilla base, studded with semisweet Guittard chocolate chips.
Suggested Uses/Why We Love It: Preparation is quick and easy – and kids love it. Serve the pancakes with a selection of sides like chocolate sauce, sliced bananas, fresh strawberries and whipped cream. You can even bake the batter in a skillet to make one giant pancake to slice and serve.
Net Weight/Yield: 1 lb. 4 oz./567g (makes 14–16 pancakes or waffles).
Ingredients: Enriched bleached flours (wheat flour, malted barley flour, niacin, iron, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), semisweet chocolate chips (sugar, unsweetened chocolate, cocoa butter, soy lecithin [emulsifier], natural vanilla extract, milk chocolate chips, sugar, cocoa butter, whole milk powder, unsweetened chocolate, soy lecithin [emulsifier], natural vanilla extract), yellow corn flour, sugar, canola oil (ascorbic acid [preservative], rosemary [preservative]), sodium bicarbonate/baking soda (leavening), salt, egg yolk powder, buttermilk powder, sodium aluminum phosphate, acidic, monocalcium phosphate monohydrate, calcium carbonate (leavening), egg white powder, natural flavour, pure Madagascar vanilla powder.

2 cups (240 g) pancake & waffle mix 1 egg, lightly beaten 4 Tbs. (ó stick/60 g) unsalted butter, melted 3/4 cup cup (185 ml) milk 1. In a large bowl, whisk together the mix, egg, butter and milk until the batter is almost smooth; do not overbeat. Let stand for 5 minutes.
2. Preheat a griddle over medium heat until a few drops of water flicked onto the surface skitter across it. Lightly grease the griddle with vegetable oil or spray with nonstick cooking spray and wipe off the excess.
3. Pour 1/3 cup of the batter onto the griddle for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on top and the batter is set, 2–3 minutes. Flip the pancakes and cook until golden brown on the other side, approx. 2 minutes more. Keep warm until all the pancakes are cooked. Repeat with the remaining batter, adding more oil to the griddle as needed. Makes six or seven 5" (13 cm) pancakes.
Chocolate Chip Waffles
2 cups (240g) pancake & waffle mix.
1 egg, lightly beaten.
6 Tbs. (3/4 stick/90g) unsalted butter, melted.
3/4 cup (185ml) milk.
1. In a large bowl, whisk together the mix, egg, butter and milk until the batter is almost smooth; do not overbeat. Let stand for 5 minutes.
2. Preheat a waffle maker according to the manufacturer's instructions. Pour approx. 1/2 cup of the batter onto the waffle maker and cook according to the manufacturer's instructions. Makes approx. five 7" (18 cm) waffles.
Chocolate Chip Belgian Waffles: Prepare the batter as directed above. Preheat a Belgian waffle maker according to the manufacturer's instructions. Pour a heaping 1/3 cup of the batter into each well of the waffle maker and cook according to the manufacturer's instructions. Makes seven or eight 4 1/2" (11.5 cm) Belgian waffles.

Returns with original receipt will be refunded in the original form of payment, cash and cheque refunds over $100 will be issued as a company cheque (may take 14 business days from time of request). Please note that returned items must be in new condition.
